Each project is different — but every one starts with understanding the mission, the audience, and what success actually looks like for the person behind it.
The Executive Director had a clear vision for the nonprofit but no roadmap for the tech. My job was to understand that vision and find the right way to build it — starting with the website and growing over the years to include emails, live courses, webinars, e-commerce, and more. Every decision guided by their goals, their mission, and their budget.
Their previous site was holding them back — limiting how they could present their team and the information clients needed. I built something that filled those gaps while also providing a way to reach out to someone they know when something needs updating instead of figuring it out themselves.
Before building anything, we spent time talking through the business - what their customers actually needed to know, and what didn't need to be managed internally. The result was a focused public site that speaks to clients clearly, without requiring them to become a tech expert to keep it running.
